As high school graduates in the late 1990s are now in their late thirties, this will have a dramatic impact on what would become collectible models says Hagerty, the largest insurance agency for collectors cars in the U.S.
The company has revealed their 2020 Bull List—an annual list of later-model cars that are “on the move.” This means these 10 vehicles have slid the usual slope of depreciation and are starting to climb once again in value. If kept in great condition, they’re poised to be future collectibles.
Last year, the 2004 Subaru WRX STI made headlines when it was included in the annual list. The year before, it was the 1994 Toyota Supra—a car that has since fetched a kingly sum at auctions. The Integra is doing the same, fetching P 4.28-million at an auction this year.
For 2020, the trend continues with a list that resembles a “90s high schooler’s wish list.” True enough, it contains a who’s who of 90s favorites with one or two exceptions. This, without a doubt, reflects the influence of younger generations on classic cars. The list includes:
1996-2002 Dodge Viper GTS
1990-1995 Volkswagen Corrado
1999-2005 Ferrari 360
1994-1998 Ducati 916
1971-1980 International Harvester Scout
1988-1991 Honda CRX Si
1997-2001 Acura Integra Type R
1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee
1998-2002 BMW M Roadster
1970-1976 Porsche 914
1970-1995 Land Rover Range Rover
