About a month after its debut in Thailand, The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in the Philippines brings in a new variant of its Colorado pickup truck: the Trail Boss.
Unlike the Colorado High Country Storm which is based off the 4x4 variant, the Trail Boss is based off the Colorado 4x2, the Trail Boss dives deep into Chevrolet’s accessories catalog. It emerges wearing lots of black stuff. Upfront, there’s a black Chevrolet bow tie set atop a black grille; at each corner, black fender flares with 18-inch high-gloss black rims; and at the back, a ‘tactical-style’ black bed bar and a large black decal at the back that reads Colorado from at least 10 meters away. Decals on the tailgate complete the changes.
Unlike its Thai counterpart though, the Philippine market Colorado Trail Boss has a larger engine: the same 2.8-liter Duramax 4-cylinder found in other Colorado and Trailblazer models. With that, it gets the same 200 horsepower, 500 Nm of torque output. The only transmission is a 6-speed automatic.
The Colorado Trail Boss is priced at P 1,368,888.
